Beauty in Chaos: Nature’s Interception with Downtown Tulsa

By: Ella Embry

It’s very rare to find a lone building without capturing some nearby greenery. Parks, plants and trees now invade the area that some would consider chaos. This chaos refers to no place other than our very own, Downtown Tulsa.

Parking garages are eyesores. Wait, not the Downtown Tulsa ones. Green trees have freshly arrived for Spring to help take care of that issue!

A park filled with flowers, bright shrubs and large trees? No way. That’s not in Downtown Tulsa. Oh wait, yes it is. That’s the BOK tower and Williams Headquarters building peaking in the background. A convenient place for a quick escape on a chaotic work day.

Where peace and chaos intertwine. The tree knows its limits and keeps a polite three feet away from the building next door.

Who knew that a dry, nonfunctioning natural waterfall could be so pretty in the center of Downtown Tulsa? Either way, I’d take my lunch break here.

The beauty of Downtown Tulsa can be seen within the trees and the leading lines. The architecture is complemented by the agriculture.
