Jenks has opened up another cafe on Jenks Main Street, and I just tried it! After a couple of years, Kim established the first-ever location of Laurannaes in the Rose District in Broken Arrow, and immediately the bakery gained attention for its freshly made sweet goods and signature drinks. Laurennae became a place for everyone in the area—having something for everyone. The love for the place grew throughout Tulsa and has now gained a home on the east side of Main Street, Jenks!
If someone told you that they started out with nothing but a truck, would you believe them? This might sound crazy, but that’s exactly what Kim started with, except passion drove her to strive for something bigger.
Kim was just beginning her journey into the world of baking by selling cupcakes in a tiny food trailer in a truck. It started off with just her sister and her working- at first it was just a hobby but through a bunch of social media output—the attention and love for their cupcakes began to grow into something worth more than a little truck can handle.
Who knew something that was created for fun could grow into something bigger? The tiny trailer that sold cupcakes skyrocketed. Laurennae became a place for everyone in the area, with something for everyone. The love for the place grew throughout Tulsa and landed a spot right in the Jenks area.

Kim built the foundation of the place brick by brick, showing the values of community. Her value of bringing people together and creating a space for people shines in this big project of hers.
The place’s modern and minimalist aesthetic and sweet, toasty scent create an atmosphere where people can come in and immediately feel like they're at home. The place has a wide selection of seating, from indoor benches and single tables to outdoor lounges- the place has a spot for everyone.
Whether it’s for a quick chit-chat with your friends, a meeting with your scary boss, or just doomscrolling through reels for another couple of hours—the cafe welcomes everyone.

You’re probably thinking, “Another cafe?” Well, yes, in an area that’s already populated with a bunch of other cafes—Lauranne's actually holds no competition.
Compared to your typical chain-based cafes like Starbucks and Dutch Bros that are filled with pure sugar in their drinks, the cafe offers authentic “real” coffee that’ll boost you up—with a wide range of signature flavors like their popular “bridesmaid” drink and “lavender honey latte”.
Laurannae’s drink menu includes your classic coffees and a handful of signature drinks. All drinks can be customised with different syrups and milks; the cafe gives customers the best experience by allowing them to put their own twist on their drinks.
My personal favorite is the blueberry matcha; the drink has notes of grassy matcha flavor that aren’t overbearing and highlights a fruitiness. If you’re more of a coffee person, I’d recommend the Vietnamese coffee; the strong aroma and deep nutty flavor will keep you up all day.
Aside from their amazing beverages, the business is also known for its sweet and savory baked goods and for its creative custom cakes, freshly baked every morning.

Well, yes, it is; I repeat, it is!
That's what makes the cafe special. It’s not food that’s being defrosted and thrown into a microwave, but it’s actually enjoyable food- through the layers of freshness, you can just tell there has been time and effort put into the preparation.

Something about the cafe that you wouldn't see elsewhere is the number of community events that are perfect for students and families to come and gather together. They have occasional lawn days for people to watch fun and festive movies and even group Pilates sessions- if you’re looking to fulfill your Pilates princess dreams, come grab your bestie and bring them to a fun Pilates date while grabbing a yummy drink on your way out!
The place also has a donation box to support our local community, and contributions are given to organizations, schools, and events in the area. The amount of care and generosity needs to be studied.
The cafe’s aesthetic and trendy vibe also gives the perfect space for your next Instagram post. I guess you can say we are the target audience. The place itself is very spacious and makes a great study location for you and your friends, with outlets on every wall, a variety of spots to sit, and free Wi-Fi; the cafe has basically checked off all the boxes of what makes a cafe perfect.
The best part about the place is that it opens from as early as 6 AM to 7 PM and is open every day of the week. The number of times I’ve come to this cafe is insane; the place has everything I need to keep me focused on my assignments.
