Everyone knows that when the holiday season comes around, the thing you wish for most is a drink in hand. You want that taste of Christmas—fresh peppermint and holiday cheer—all swirled into one small sip, or in other cases, a giant gulp. The question is, which place can best give you all of those feelings and flavors wrapped into one?
As someone who goes to these places on a weekly basis, I’m here to tell you where you should spend your money on a 5-star scale for the best taste, price, and quality of a peppermint mocha this holiday season.
Greeted with warm smiles as they ask for your phone number, the 7Brew employees automatically make you feel like you’re at home. For the price of $5.48, your peppermint mocha will consist of a divine chocolaty flavor with a twist of peppermint swirling through your straw and finished with whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles.
If you like the richness and divinity of chocolate without a divine amount of peppermint, 7brew is the perfect place for you to cozy up and get a taste of Christmas, whether it’s hot or iced. If you join their rewards system, you will also have the opportunity to build your points and obtain free drinks! When combining the taste, price, and customer service, both this drink and the place of business have earned a 4-star rating from me. 7brew is always both welcoming and tasty.
However, I feel like their speed when it comes to taking orders and serving drinks could slightly increase. Overall, this is still my go-to place to grab a drink, whether it’s on the way to school or just a chill day with friends.

Next, with a “What can I get started for you?” Dutch Bros works fast and hard as they take your order and get your drink served. When you get a peppermint mocha, whether it be blended, hot, or iced, you are welcomed with a sweet taste of chocolate with a slight hint of coffee, followed by a fresh taste of peppermint.
It is decorated on top with their infamous soft top and peppermint sprinkles. Not only do their drinks taste like Christmas spirit, but they also come in a Christmas cup, followed by a Christmas straw to get you in the holiday spirit. And the catch? There is none. You can get a medium peppermint mocha for the price of $6.78, and it will last you at least a few hours, if not more.
When it comes to their holiday season, Dutch Bros definitely doesn’t play. I give them 4.5 stars for many reasons. They are quick and efficient in their service, their peppermint mocha is one of the best yet, and their price is great for the amount they serve.

Last but not least, we have the famous Starbucks. For the price of $6.25 and warm smiles all around, this drink makes you embrace the Christmas spirit the most. Although their mediums aren’t as large as the previous places I reviewed, the taste of peppermint left on your tongue even after you take a sip is one of the best feelings one could be left with.
Served in a Starbucks cup with cute red ribbons to signal it’s finally time to let free and feel Christmassy, that first sip leaves you feeling fresh and ready to start your day. Starbucks’ peppermint mocha starts off with a sweet taste of chocolate but is quickly followed by the fresh flavor of peppermint, decorated on top with whipped cream and mocha chips.
This is by far the best peppermint mocha yet. I give this a 5-star rating for the best overall taste, service, and holiday spirit of the cup it’s served in. Although Starbucks may contain the least amount out of the three places I visited, when it comes to flavor, it is absolutely outstanding.

Overall, I really enjoyed visiting all of the places. They all had their own distinct flavors and first-sip feelings, but when it comes to the best, Starbucks earns that title.
