Some call it the most dangerous sport. Some say it's not even a sport at all. Cheer has always been at the center of attention for one reason or another. From doing stunts on football sidelines to bringing the energy at pep rallies, cheerleaders are always pouring their energy into getting the crowd hyped for whatever sport they need. Most viewers might think that's all they do.

Wake up, go to school, practice - an endless cycle for most athletes at Jenks. Our bodies have become so used to these routines to perfect our crafts. Imagine working hard every day, all year round, just to receive feedback that what you are doing is not considered a “sport.” Jenks Cheer members experience this kind of criticism on a day-to-day basis but have to keep pushing forward.
